Gorillaz ft. Benjamin Clementine - Hallelujah Money

It's been six years since the cartoon-fronted band released any new music, but now they're back with more to say than most humans. Damon Albarn's pet project enlists British artist Benjamin Clementine to sing a soulful reflection on money, power and corruption. The timely tune has an equally powerful music video, which finds Clementine crooning in the Trump Tower elevator, surrounded by an eerie montage of animated clips accompanying the theatrically thrilling tune.

Arcade Fire ft. Mavis Staples- I Give You Power

With "I Give You Power" the Arcade Fire make a triumphant return. The song retains the dance floor thump of 2013's "Reflektor" but also works as a powerful rallying cry. The ominous bass synths and Mavis Staples killer vocals make this a well-timed anthem in an era where quasi-political, gospel-tinged disco is more needed than ever.

Aimee Mann - Goose Snow Cone

Aimee Mann has a reputation for writing sad jams, but on her upcoming album Mental Illness, she totally owns it. in her own words the record is an attempt to write the "saddest, slowest, most acoustic, if-they're-all-waltzes-so-be-it-record." Lead single "Goose Snow Cone" lives up to that description, in all it's strummy, melancholic glory.

The xx - Dangerous

The dream-pop trio made a welcome return with their third album I See You. The record's first track "Dangerous" kicks things off with a propulsive blast. The beat is faster and slicker than anything they've ever released. It's darkly seductive and a perfect soundtrack for your next goth dance party or for when you want to make out with your favorite mistake.

Sampha - (No One Knows Me) Like the Piano

"(No One Knows Me) Like the Piano" is an ode to Sampha's childhood instrument. The piano, which sat in his family's home since he was three, also happens to be the one in which he wrote much of his highly anticipated debut album Process on. Considering he's worked with Drake, Frank Ocean and Kanye, the London songwriter is definitely one to watch.

CoCo Hames - I Do Love You

After a decade spent fronting garage band The Ettes, CoCo Hames finally steps out on her own. Hames just announced her debut solo album and the first single "I Do Love You" is quite a stunner. Imagine if Lana Del Rey moved to Nashville and was striped of all her flower-crown artifice. It's a moody tune that bodes well for the rest of the album to come.

Jens Lekman - What's That Perfume That You Wear

After the somewhat muted affair that was 2012's I Know What Love Isn't Jens Lekman returns with an upcoming album of upbeat, sample-happy pop songs. Lead single "What's That Perfume That You Wear" is a steel-drum wonderland, but don't let the bouncy percussion fool you. Underneath the rhythms lie a melancholic ode to the aroma of lost loves and hotel shampoo bottles. With sensory detail and lyrical imagery rendered in a way only Jens can get away with, it feels good to have him back.

Spoon
- Hot Thoughts

With its taut synths and orchestral strings, "Hot Thoughts" might be Spoon's sexiest song yet, an impressive feat for a band that's been around for over two decades. The track's electro-rock euphoria and cryptic lyrics maintain the band's mysterious aura, but also lend them an easy accessibility for fans old and new to latch on to.

Migos - T-Shirt

Migos are riding high off their first Hot 100 number one song "Bad and Boujee" and don't seem to be slowing down. New album Culture drops a week from today and we got another taste earlier this month with latest single "T-Shirt." Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset duck and weave their signature Migos flow around a slinking beat by Atlanta production duo Nard & B. And the song's video—featuring the guys rapping in full-on fur-trader garb—is can't-miss.
