Leon BridgesBet Ain't Worth the Hand

Two years after the success of his debut album Coming Home, Leon Bridges is back with two new songs, 'Bad Bad News' and 'Bet Ain't Worth the Hand'. The singer-songwriter delivers a soulful sound with delicate vocals on the latter, hinting at growth and progression on his upcoming second album Good Thing which will be out on 4 May.

Dear NoraSunset On Humanity

Dear Nora are back with new music and a tour after a decade without new material. Their new album Skulls Example will be released on 25 May and has been described by guitarist Katy Davidson as being about "how our weird, techno-futuristic present juxtaposes so absurdly against the never-ending backdrop of inexorable, ancient elements . The album is specifically about humanity. Our capacities and feats are so incredible – we're godlike – and yet we're scrounging for happiness and basic survival, we're heavily addicted, we just want love, we want family."

Courtney BarnettNeed A Little Time

Following the addictive single 'Nameless, Faceless' released last month, Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Courtney Barnett continues to tease her upcoming new album Tell Me How You Really Feel with another hypnotising new song, 'Need a Little Time'. The album is due for release on 18 May 2018.

serpentwithfeetbless ur heart

After drawing the attention of established artists such as Björk and Grizzly Bear, serpentwithfeet has been busy working in the studio with several renown producer-collaborators such as Clams Casino (A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples) and Paul Epworth (Adele, Rihanna). Expanding on from the epic vocals and ambitious sonic journey showcased on his debut EP blisters (2016), his new song 'bless ur heart' is an impressive introduction to his upcoming debut album soil, out on 8 June.

ScarlxrdWe waste time FADED

If you need to blow off some steam, Scarlxrd's new song 'We waste time FADED' might just be what you need. Despite his more mainstream appeal, Scarlxrd's powerful vocal delivery and hard-hitting, distorted trap metal sound could appeal to fans of industrial Hip Hop precursors Death Grips or rising rap punk group ho99o9. The music video for the song showcases a brutal blend of influences from nu metal, Japanese anime and Hip Hop.

PreoccupationsDisarray

Preoccupations' new album New Material is now out shortly after the band released the video of 'Disarray' earlier this week. The song's melancholic melody is transporting and the new album features an epic ending track entitled 'Compliance' which is a must-hear.

Video Age – Hold On (I Was Wrong)

New Orleans duo Video Age is clearly into retro sounds with its futuristic pop experiments. So it isn't surprising to hear similarities between the main beats of their new song 'Hold On (I Was Wrong)' and 80s Italo disco band Fun Fun's hit ' Happy Station'. The similarities stop there though, as the sophistication of Video Age's musical arrangements and lyrics take their 'retro futuristic' funk pop music to the next level.

SadeFlower of the Universe

Sade's first new music in eight years, 'Flower of the Universe', comes under the guise of a beautiful single for the soundtrack of Disney's big-budget fantasy film A Wrinkle in Time. For any Sade fan, this is great news due to how sparse the band's releases have been over the last three decades.
