Last.fm Live in London: Lanterns on the Lake
UK female-led post rock/indie group Lanterns on the Lake return to the live stage in support of their upcoming second album
Last week Last.fm played host to Lanterns on the Lake as they released themselves from the confines of the recording studio, where they've been recording the follow-up to debut album Gracious Tide, Take Me Home, and planted themselves on the stage of the London Scala as part of a short run of UK dates. Their mix of folk, indie and shattering post rock enthralled the crowd and the airing of new tracks suggested an interesting new direction for the band.
Before their set we sat down with Hazel (vocals, piano, guitar) and Ol (drums) as they discussed everything that's going on in the world of Lanterns on the Lake, their most popular track on Last.fm "A Kingdom", their local music scene and more plus performance footage taken from the set that followed.
