Waxahatchee - I Think I Love You (Last.fm and Gibson Sessions)
Waxahatchee performs 'I Think I Love You' at the Gibson Studios in London
There's an intimacy and retrospective sadness to the work of Brooklyn's Katie Crutchfield, aka Waxahatchee, that many bedroom-based singer-songwriters attempt yet can't quite muster to full effect. Her latest album Cerulean Salt is the sound of a musician comfortably settling into their sound; with Katie finding the perfect balance between the lo-fi full-band jams of "Dixie Cups and Jars" to the solo efforts of "Tangled Envisioning" and "I Think I Love You" (the latter from debut album American Weekend) that she so kindly performed for Last.fm in the lovely confines of the Gibson studios in London.
