Carrying on with our post-Convergence 2016 coverage (see our look back on the innovative Gil Scott-Heron event here) we sent resident Last.fm snapper Nathan Greenwood to another wonderful Convergence lineup - Lamb supported by Darkstar at London's iconic Troxy.
One of the key early pioneers of 90's UK downtempo electronica, Lamb most recently returned with their 6th record - 2014's Backspace Unwind. Their set was largely made up of those songs - performing 7 of them and opening on record opener 'In Binary'. Long-time fans were rewarded, however, with 3 tracks performed from their 1996 self-titled debut.
Support came from Warp Records' Darkstar, who returned in 2015 with Foam Island. Their brooding, left-field electronica was the perfect lead-up to Lamb's triumphant headline performance.
