In an interview with The New York Times (who stated the track was among the year’s best) he claimed that “New York didn’t respect me until Peso”. Big Ghost also complimented the track, saying: “This that joint that kinda gives you some idea of what Wiz Khalifa would sound like if he still had a little talent n dignity left”.
