"Dark/Light" is the 5th song off John Frusciante's 2009 album "The Empyrean". The song is effectively two contrasting songs rolled into one, hence the title. During "Dark" John is heard playing the piano and singing more negative sounding lyrics, then when the songs transits into "Light" the music, funnily enough, sounds brighter with the background sound of 'The New Dimension Singers' and John playing bass to lyrics sung by himself and Lawrence Young.
