“Lace It” reunites Juice WRLD with Eminem over a Benny Blanco production, serving as the lead single of Juice’s final album, The Party Never Ends. On the track, Juice WRLD and Eminem reflect heavily on substance abuse—which is a common topic found throughout their music.
The song’s existence was first revealed on December 7, 2023, when the cover artwork to the single leaked online. However, Juice WRLD’s co-manager, Lil Bibby, quickly responded to the leaking, hoping to get attention off the single with the sarcastic caption:
Not real
On December 15, 2023, it was revealed by Juice WRLD’s co-manager, Pete Jideonwo, that the track was meant to drop that same day, however did not, due to it getting rejected by the legal team. Fortunately, later that day, Lil Bibby revealed the song’s official cover artwork and a subtle release date, stating:
200 phone calls to get this song to y'all!! Hope you appreciate it cuz I hate talking that much…. The Party Never Ends coming soon!! Big Thank you to Eminem and Benny on this one!! Let the Party Start 🎊🎉🎈
