POP/STARS is a combination of music, video games, and digital marketing. It is the debut single by K/DA, a group composed of four female avatars from the video game League of Legends (boasted 100 million monthly active players since 2016).
K/DA stands for Kills, Deaths and Assists, that is how League of Legends is scored.
It features vocals from four of the game’s most recognizable females : Ahri (MiYeon de (G)I-DLE), Akali (Jeon Soyeon de (G)I-DLE), Evelynn (Madison Beer), and Kai'Sa (Jaira Burns).

Riot Games premiered the group at the League of Legends 2018 World Championship in Incheon, South Korea. The four singers were performing onstage alongside augmented reality projections of their avatars.
By the way, more than 200 million people watched the League of Legends championship online. That is twice the viewership for the 2018 Super Bowl.

Within four days, POP/STARS surpassed 20 millions views on Youtube.
As November, 28 (2018) - a mere 25 days after its release -, the song had more than 28 million streams on Spotify.

“Our songs are for you to remember—always be true to yourself,” says lead singer Ahri.
K/DA hopes to take their music around the world in a global tour.
