Balloonerism is an unreleased project by Mac Miller made in between Watching Movies With the Sound Off and Faces. The album was finished but was shelved by Rostrum for being too "out there". After the project was shelved, it was reworked into the mixtape Faces, which was released for free to prevent Rostrum from getting in the way of the release like with Balloonerism. Balloonerism was also a backup plan of some sort, the album would release in full if he died during the creation of Faces.
