“Supervillain Theme” is the third instrumental track on "Madvillainy" after “Sickfit” and “Do Not Fire!” The main instrumental of the track comes from Brazilian progressive rock band O Terço’s 1973 song “Adormeceu”. With the help of Madlib’s additional drums and beat chops, the sound shifts from the original psychedelic tone to something straight out of an old supervillain cartoon, a continuing theme present on the album.
