Long-awaited by fans, the track was previewed multiple times and even performed by Pi'erre at Rolling Loud 2020 prior to its release. The song was originally titled “PlayStation,” but due to clearance reasons Pi'erre was unable to officially use the name. Instead, he let his Twitter followers decide between “4U” and “IM4U,” the former reigning victorious with 58.8% of the votes.
