Biography
Ryuichi Sakamoto & David Sylvian (aka Sylvian ∙ Sakamoto), is a collaboration of musician / composer / producer 坂本龍一 (b. 17 Jan 1952, Tokyo, Japan) and musician / composer David Sylvian (b. 23 Feb 1958, Kent, UK). They have collaborated on a number of singles and most of Sylvian's albums.
Their first collaborative release was a single, as Sylvian ∙ Sakamoto, "Bamboo Houses ∙ Bamboo Music" (30 Jul 1982, Vigin). Later, they worked together on the hit Forbidden Colours (with Sylvian's vocal) and "23rd Psalm", from Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" (1983), soundtrack for the Nagisa Oshima film.
