“Snowman” was released as the second single off Sia’s first Christmas album, Everyday Is Christmas. In this down-tempo love song, Sia confesses her love to her snowman, a metaphor for the man she loves. While ostensibly a holiday tune, this song can also be read as a prequel to Sia’s “The Girl You Lost To Cocaine,” in which she dubs her addicted former lover “still as a snowman.” That song is about the process of leaving, but this one is about staying – perhaps with the implication of the narrator also continuing her addiction so she can stay frosty with her “snowman.”
