The irony is that Neil and Rachel used to date in the early days of Slowdive, but broke up between "Just for a Day" and "Souvlaki", the latter of which had songs inspired by their break up. It is also worth mentioning that Neil wrote this song, yet it is Rachel singing on the majority of it.
