Doie Hensley "Tex" Owens (June 15, 1892 – September 9, 1962) was an American country music singer and songwriter. Tex Owens was born in Killeen, Texas. He was the son of Curcley Sly and Susan (Frances) Owens. He came from a large and musically talented family; one of his ten sisters, Ruby Agnes, also went on to country music fame as Texas Ruby.
