In 1987 TRYX was formed in Miami, Florida by lead vocalist Jesse Star. While recording and touring locally in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area, the band felt as thought they were not in the right place to secure a major recording contract and as a result they relocated to New York. After a short one month stay, they headed west for the bright lights of Los Angeles and arrived on the scene in 1989.
