Vince Staples has worked with the production duo GTA again after a previous collaboration together on “Little Bit of This.” With vocals from Gorillaz member Damon Albarn and Kilo Kish, “Love Can Be…” breaks down genres and depicts a bleak outlook on love. The song also features vocals from Ray J, whom Staples is known for praising in several interviews. When he was asked, back in 2015, about trying to get a Ray J feature, Vince responded: "We don’t need a Ray J feature. We ain’t ready for nothin' like that. We just need a cosign."
