Zopp began circa 2010, in Nottingham, UK, by multi-instrumentalist and producer Ryan Stevenson. The project originally started as a progressive rock pastiche, referencing a number of ‘Canterbury Scene’ rock bands from the late 60’s and 70’s. Over time, however, other musical influences from classical artists, such as Stravinsky and Steve Reich, along with ambient music, became apparent in the music.
