After a slew of EPs showcasing the Hertfordshire duo's knack for dance-floor friendly beats and synths, Maribou State have now fully transitioned into the most soulful and harmonious of live bands.
'Portraits', released via Counter Records in the Summer, is the sound of a band entirely comfortable in their dynamic sound; encompassing soundscape-led guitars propped up by gliding synths and guest vocals from the likes of Jono McCleery (who featured in our session with Portico) and Holly Walker.
The latter's enthralling voice is at the forefront of the two tracks Maribou State recently performed for us aboard the Lightship95 in London. Last week we presented 'Midas' and now we can reveal 'Steal'. Enjoy:
