This is a wiki for art punk, not for the whole punk genre, and the old wiki also confused a lot of genres and bands with art punk, among these were Joy Division (Post-Punk), Interpol (Post-Punk Revival), Fugazi (Post-Hardcore], Sonic Youth (Noise Rock), At The Drive-In (Post-Hardcore), etc

I felt the need to expand upon this to give whole genre history. I do have sources, which will be listed in a forthcoming edit. In the meantime, read and consider, and make any changes you see fit.
