very nice show. i was very happy to see horace! the double drummers really made the songs big and atmospheric. i was pretty pissed off about the sound quality though.. at many points throughout the show i found myself struggling to hear keyboard parts and basslines.. and i was right up the front. but it was still brilliant to see them in action and the screen was used to great effect. angel and future proof made the night. and to everyone saying that they wished that other songs had been played, i guess that goes to show just how many awesome tracks they've made over the years. with the limited amount of singers that they had it was a very good setlist imo.

I totally agree about Atlas Air. What an intense way to end the show, and so much better live.

Amazing! Martina was a lovely support and addition to the band on stage. I can't help but think they should end every show with Group Four though.

Fucking outstanding. Was one person away from the very front of the stage - amazing. I felt like the only loser who was into it enough to dance, though. Probably because the entire Music Bowl smelled like weed and beer, haha. How good was that extended version of Atlas Air, by the way? I think my heart collapsed in on itself when it started and I was absolutely floored by that ending. Wow.

Awesome show last night. Very happy I went. Scored last min tickets getting 241deal & the new cd(a bit under $130) so was pretty chuffed, even more so when I found out the seats were in row L and we were up nice and close-almost intimate. Great sound, lights & production. New stuff stands up surprisingly well against the older classics, coming across very well live(unsure how some the minimalist, sparse, dirge-like electronica would cut it live, but no issues whatsoever). Martina is a great addition to the MA touring lineup, her distinct vocals are superb. 3D was in fine form, looked to be really enjoying himself; smiles & dancing all round. Most animated I've seen him. Agree with some of the sentiment about crowd atmosphere. If anything it was a bit of a slow burner crowd wise, however by 5 or so songs in most of the good folk around us were up and gettin' on down! Take's a little while for some of the oldies in seats to loosen up and shake their inhibitions ;^P Brilliant night.

I do feel sorry for those of you that paid full price, but I'm not surprised this happened. Where can we buy these cheaper tickets though? The TM website still says $100...

got my tickets this afternoon! could easily justify $100+ for a band with such an amazing back catalogue.

The price is ridiculous. They can't expect people to pay that much. And why the hell is it overage? Don't they have the fucking Carols by Candlelight here?

...Please tell me I'm not alone in holding the opinion that, as AWESOME as Massive Attack are, ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY DOLLARS is just a bit too much to pay to see them? I mean.... Dream Theater last year was $120, Iron Maiden in 2008 was $150... so yeah, in comparison, this seems like quite a lot to pay for a band who really aren't that big. You'd expect for that price they would at least bring another international band. If PORTISHEAD were touring with them, I'd definitely pay that much money :)

crap venue, but i'd see massive attack anywhere. saw them in berlin nov 09 (part of this same tour) and they were brilliant. great to see they are bringing the same mix of vocalists (horace andy, martina topley-bird, etc) - i still get chills down my spine recalling horace singing angel and martina singing teardrop. make sure you get there to watch martina as support - very talented lady!
