Yeah apart from the fire alarm repeatedly going off in my right frickin ear it was a great gig (thought MNDR was good too). I last saw them live in 1997 so was mildly worried they'd sound a bit dated - no problems there!

I got mine pretty late at ticketmaster, I don't think there's any worries. besides that I'm sure soundscapes still has some. Everyone should go.

Oh i'm definitely really excited about this too, the Sound Academy ain't the best but i've still had a great time there on multiple occasions, and for me it honestly doesn't get much better than Massive Attack.

Ha funny you should say that, the other day in the middle of Spoon's set Britt Daniel was like "This is a very narrow room. And you're all packed in tight, aren't you?" and i was all like "uh huh"

One of my fav bands, saw them at the Carlu in 06 - but I have to agree that the Sound Academy is one of the worst venues in the city (2nd after Ricoh). Unless you in the front, goodluck at seeing anything or not having drinks spilled on you as people try to push through the narrow hall. Well you can stand at the back and watch the show on a movie screen if you need to say you were there. Saw TV on the Radio there last year, terrible sound. The place sucks the energy out of the crowd. Think I might skip it as painful as that may be.

Actually, looks like RT and SS are carrying ticket for both shows now. Should have waited to avoid paying the Ticketmaster rapage...

Got my ticket, this should be awesome. Massive's first North American show in 4 years, my first time seeing them. And yeah, the Sound Academy's not my favourite but whatever, it's f'n Massive Attack.

I doubt RT/SS will be getting tickets for this. They rarely get them for bigger LN/TM shows. Sound Academy isn't THAT bad. It's just a pain in the ass to get to because of its crappy location, poor TTC coverage, the expensive parking, and the awkward long shape of the building and location of the stage. When I was younger I used to think The Warehouse was so far away, but not I realize how much easier it is to get to than SA. Sound-wise it is pretty good and they have a good PA.

The Sound Academy IS horrible. So many artists being booked here lately. I love Massive Attack but I might not go because of this. And I never decide to pass on a show due to venue choice....

It's not the best venue in town, but it's also not half as bad as people make it seem. Plus Massive Attack is touring for the first time in awhile, and who knows when they'll be back. Definitely worthy of going.
