Urban Classic is a meeting of musical cultures, bringing together the BBC Symphony Orchestra with leading artists from the UK’s urban music scene. As part of the Music Nation weekend, this event will be the first performance of new arrangements by Ayanna Witter-Johnson and Jason Yarde.

For Urban Classic, the BBC Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Jules Buckley, fresh from his collaboration with Basement Jaxx and the Metropole Orchestra, where he is Principal Guest Conductor.
