Multitalented Liesa Van der Aa is one of the busiest young artists right now. Next to her own musical activities she is an actress at both the Toneelhuis theatre and the Flemish youth channel Ketnet, all while writing her own opera in the meantime.
Her debut 'Troops' (2012) received many positive reviews, and brought her on the stage of Gent Jazz and the Ancienne Belgique. Before she starts working on her next cd, she will visit Leuven. Through creative use of special effects and a loop station, Liesa can do magic with only her voice and violin.

A must-see for fans of Max Richter and Nils Frahm: the British, classically schooled violist/pianist Poppy Ackroyd. You may know her from the Hidden Orchestra, but she also composes music for radio, movies and contemporary dance.Liesa van der Aa
