Description
exan instrumental rock giants Explosions in the Sky will fill the Concert Hall with their cathartic mini-symphonies - an Opera House debut that will be one of the most blistering performances this summer.
Since forming in 1999, the Austin based quartet quickly gained a reputation for their soaring performances, melding the dynamics of Mogwai with the melodic heights of vocal-driven rock. Often celebrated for their score to Friday Night Lights and contributions to the popular television adaptation, the band's unique three guitars and drums setup has continued to evolve without losing their sprawling emotional core.
Now featuring electronic flourishes to epic effect on their latest release, 2016's The Wilderness, Explosions in the Sky will push the possibilities of instrumental music with cavernous results in their return to Sydney.
