EXIT is the biggest music festival in South Eastern Europe. EXIT has taken place at a beautiful and magical fortress in Novi Sad, since 2001. Year after year the number of visitors is getting bigger; young people come from different parts of the country and Europe. Apart from quality music program that it offers, the festival is a place of wild fun, and you can enjoy the cool atmosphere of the fortress and the positive energy of the city.

How has the first half of your year been?
Amazing! Celebrating 15 years of Ovum and releasing the magnificent remix LP of "When a Banana was just a Banana". Can't wait till' the 2nd half of the year to arrive!
What keeps you enthused about doing this after many years in the game?
Music brings me happiness and inspires! And this is something I want to do everyday in my life!
And how are things different now to when you first started? The crowds, the music, the challenges etc…
Computers and internet have changed the music industry and the world, for both good and bad. Crowds now tend to be more focused on a ‘certain’ style of music that they only like, rather then enjoying the diversity of the music, which was how it was years ago.
And how important was Philly to you and your music when you started? Is it still an influence?
Not very important in the beginning, but when I was a teenager I began to learn and appreciate the Philly Sound. We are all products of where we were raised whether we like it not or know it or not. I am proud to be from Philly. There are really great people here and all the producers, of any kind of music have a great outlook on things and share a same Philly attitude!
Have you played Exit before? If so why do you love it and, if not, what are you looking forward to?
Yes, I have played this festival before yet, it was YEARS ago. I am very excited to be participating in such a wonderful diverse music festival again! Amazing line up as usual!
Will you just be there for your set or will you stay and see anyone else?
It’s typical Dj life. “In and Out”. I fly in for my set and leave the next morning. But, of course, I still hope I have time to check out some acts/artists.
How do festivals compare to club gigs to you? Which do you prefer and why?
I like both, but I prefer the smaller more intimate events the most. It’s more personal, and I can connect with the audience with more ease.
And how different are the sets you play at a Festival like Exit to a smaller club?
People at festivals want the biggest records played, they want to have their attention grabbed at every moment. So, I need to understand this and do my best of keeping my integrity as an artist, educate and entertain. Smaller venues, I feel I can really play various genres of music without having to ‘get the crowds attention’ at every moment. It’s more of a musical journey for me.
What can people expect from one of your sets at the moment?
One great thing about Dj-ing is that it’s spontaneous, which means its ever changing and there are no rules. So, I don’t know. But, I can assure people that it will be my signature sound of mixing house with techno and acid with deepness. It will be fun!
What else are you working on in 2010?
Celebrating 15 years of Ovum with parties & festivals around Europe for the summer and the release of the magnificent remix LP of "When a Banana was just a Banana".
