Bush with Klute@ Roxy

Klute is really great. He's been making music one way or another for quite a long time now and some people think he's got quite good at it. At one point in time enough people thought him good enough that he decided to quit his job and become a fulltime Klute. He is now d&b;'s leading fulltime Klute. That was after he was in a Hardcore Punk band when he was a kid - in the 80's, called THE STUPIDS. They were really good at first too, but then got boring and fell apart, not after some juicy ego clashes. Anyway, Klute - Tom Withers, started back in 1994, i think when he was asked for a name to keep exclusive to Certificate 18 records when they agreed on 2 tracks to be his first single. It was there he stayed until 2000 when he delivered his 2nd final album for Cert 18 called FEAR OF PEOPLE. At this point in time Tom decided to make a change and realising no one else was interested in releasing his music decided to set up his own label COMMERCIAL SUICIDE. With his own platform set up he realized anything was possible, he could even release music by other idiots. Which he did. Perhaps too much. An interesting fact no one knows about Tom Klute is that he is the world's leading composer of Airport music. Most of you who've travelled the friendly skys will have unknowingly heard his works at one time or another. Now we come to 2010 and Klute is ready for fucking more, and more it is with his 6th album "Music for prophet".

What The Fuck?! @ Parukarka bunkr

WTF?! A night of extra-ordinary aural delicacies & neural assault

experiemental -> electronica -> acid -> comedy -> mashup -> dubstep -> jungle -> breakcore -> hardcore -> gabber

This bit here is for the history buffs, figured i might as well leave it there if u fancy a read.....

Greetings people of facebook!! All friends- Prague, England and otherwise.

May I have your attention please! I have some important information that I wish to share with you all.

I'm going to be putting on a music night/mashup party in Prague in June. It's always been a little dream of mine to do something like this, and this year, it's actually gonna fucking happen... so I want you all to be there.

First up, the venue...

It's a very special little spot, the sort of place you're only likely to find in Prague. It's an ex-soviet nuclear bunker that's been converted into a grimey little rave dungeon, all in the name of art. It's located over in Zizkov, cut into the side of a hill on the edge of a park. It's quite small, which is a good thing cos hopefully we can pack it out.

The website is here http://www.parukarka.eu/

And there's an interesting article about the place here, give it a read http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,2144,2796745,00.html

As for the music... it'll be far from ur average. So very fucking far!

ambient -> experiemental -> electronica -> acid -> comedy -> mashup -> dubstep -> jungle -> breakcore -> hardcore -> gabber

A horrifically eclectic line-up consisting solely of my bestest buddies from back home in the UK (with the odd exception).

The line-up will be ordered so that the music's intensity takes the shape of an exponential curve. Starting at zero, and reaching infinity+1 by the end of the night.

Here's a brief run-down of the lineup:
SCHLOSS TEGAL (cz) - dark ambient dj set - http://www.myspace.com/15447919
BEAMS (uk/cz) - expeirmental beats - http://www.myspace.com/depff
LITTLEDOLL (uk) - jazz-tronica - http://littledoll.ning.com/

Massive Attack@ Tesla Arena

The pioneering force behind the rise of trip-hop, Massive Attack are among the most innovative and influential groups of their generation; their hypnotic sound — a darkly sensual and cinematic fusion of hip-hop rhythms, soulful melodies, dub grooves, and choice samples — set the pace for much of the dance music to emerge throughout the 1990s, paving the way for such acclaimed artists as Portishead, Sneaker Pimps, Morcheeba, UNKLE and Tricky, himself a Massive Attack alumnus. Their history dates back to 1983 and the formation of the Wild Bunch, one of the earliest and most successful sound-system/DJ collectives to arrive on the UK music scene; renowned for their seamless integration of a wide range of musical styles, from punk to reggae to R&B;, the group’s parties quickly became can’t-miss events for the Bristol club crowd, and at the peak of their popularity they drew crowds so enormous that the local live music scene essentially ground to a halt.

When the Wild Bunch folded during the mid-’80s, two of its members — Andrew Vowles (Mushroom) and Grant Marshall (Daddy G) — teamed with local graffiti artist 3D (born Robert del Naja) to form Massive Attack in 1987; another Wild Bunch alum, Nellee Hooper, split his time between the new group and his other project, Soul II Soul. The group’s first single, “Daydreaming,” appeared in 1990; it featured the sultry vocals of singer Shara Nelson and raps by Tricky, another onetime Wild Bunch collaborator. The classic “Unfinished Sympathy” followed (which, despite its slow BPM, is often cited as Britain’s Favourite Dance tune - sources: MTV Dance, Kiss102) as did another compelling effort, “Safe From Harm.” Finally, in 1991 Massive Attack issued their debut LP, Blue Lines; while by no means a huge commercial success, the record was met with major critical praise, and was dubbed an instant classic in many quarters. Nelson, featured on many of the album’s most memorable tracks, exited for a solo career soon after, and the group then confusingly changed their name to simply “Massive” to avoid any implication of approval for the U.N.’s policy towards Iraq; in the wake of the disastrous U.S. tour that followed, many were quick to write the band off right then and there.

Tanec Praha's three evenings at the Karlín Musical Theatre will be a real treat for lovers of contemporary dance. The UK's Jasmin Vardimon Company will present its performance Yesterday here on June 22 and 23. Jasmin Vardimon, a choreographer of Israeli origin, in this work decided to combine the successful decade of her creation not only retrospectively, but also with new creative energy to combine dance and physical theatre with projections and animation. "Her work connects deep belief in the expression of the body, as we know it from the most renowned Israelis, with a masterful theatricality and enthusiasm for the most diverse dance techniques and styles to be found in London. Yesterday with eight virtuoso dancers exudes passion, gentleness and physicality – from frantic, provocative dance to moments of fragile beauty and tenderness…." said Kreuzmannová. The reviews in foreign media are also extremely positive: "The performance is full of stunning images… provocative, intelligent and refreshing," wrote The Times, and according to the to the Daily Mail it is "a dangerous and beautiful performance… passionate and extraordinary."
