Description
Dreadful weather conditions force the Festival organisation to close nearly all the car parks and to adopt special emergency measures - including the spreading of 1200 cubic metres of wood shavings and sawdust - to guarantee the success of the festivities. 200,000 people turn up in Nyon to make it a resounding success. Jane Birkin has a crowd of 25,000 singing La Javanaise. Jamiroquai and Texas triumph under the pouring rain, as does Sinead O'Connor, back in the limelight again.
