Jennie Kim (Hangul: 제니; born January 16, 1996, in Anyang, South Korea), better known mononymously as JENNIE, is a South Korean singer, rapper and dancer best known for being a member of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK.
Jennie trained at YG Entertainment for five years prior to her debut with BLACKPINK in 2016. Pre-debut she featured in several of her labelmates' songs including: G-DRAGON's "Black", Lee Hi's "Special", and Seungri's "GG BE". She was the first BLACKPINK member to be revealed to the public. She is fluent in Korean, English, and Japanese and can play the piano and flute.
Jennie released her first single "SOLO" on November 12, 2018.
