Superb new album! Without a doubt it's their most eclectic and adventurous project, picking up from where they left off with a masterpiece such as "Totschläger" and enhancing the experimental side of their music even more, as we saw on records like "Fractal Possession", "Leytmotif Luzifer" and even their split with Blacklodge, which I've always thought was pretty underrated. It's kind of overwhelming at first, but very rewarding and intriguing the more I listen to it.

Their new album just might be my favorite release from them. Since it's not on streaming services for whatever reason I might have to buy it which would be a better alternative.

New album is good indeed. Track 2 has a guest vocalist who is very recognisible.

Yes, Mikko spoiled it on the last Sarvilevyt post haha. He didn't say which track he sang on though.

It has arrived and is visually striking, as expected. Unfortunately the powers that be have decided to punish me, destroying my turntable and denying the audio experience. That said, there are some reputable reviews coming out giving it perfect scores. Spoilers, perhaps: https://pasteboard.co/ylH1cNoLUfwC.jpg

The combination of Aspa’s degeneracy alongside those meticulously placed electronic blips on Soldaten Satans is immaculate. Fairly straightforward song for Abigor but executed masterfully.

Silenius does the 2nd half but I’m almost certain Aspa does the 1st half. Difficult to confirm, but Aspa’s vocals are pretty distinct. DsO is fond of Abigor based on their Bardo interview, and I’m convinced that Abigor & DsO members collaborated for the NedXXX album.

Needs more BASS. I think I will stick with Caparthian Forest instead. They have much more BASS.

I feel like most of Abigor's music could be a contender for the best bm ever made. Especially his new album which is one of my favorite releases from him.

Just “discovered” these fellows a few months ago, and I can rightfully say that they’ve conjured some of the best black metal I’ve ever heard.

Totschläger is a magnificent opus of avant-garde black metal, and the band's best work to date.

The re-issues of Verwüstung / Invoke the Dark Age, Nachthymnen and Orkblut are now available for pre-order. Just picked them up myself. Masterpieces of Black Metal.

Couldn't agree more with this statement. What a massive, magnificent and demanding work of art. Releasing it just in time to be AOTY.

I was not aware of that! Do you have any info on what albums? I'm specifically interested in the stuff that was in the Hornix box set.

There's info about that on WTC bandcamp page for the new album, paragraph just below the songs. Classic 90s albums as individual CD releases next month, so that must be it. I'm wondering about Channeling the Quintessence of Satan, are they going to do it at all, since they did Quintessence (aka ...and Justice for Jason). The legend is original (superior, of course) won't ever be repressed on vinyl, so let's see.

Only wished PK and TT would have asked Lucia-Mariam Fåroutan to play the keyboard in all Abigor's albums, she made a great job in Supreme Immortal Art (1998) and Satanized (A Journey Through Cosmic Infinity) (2001) and puts Abigor on a different level

I am not going to lie. I am far from an expert on Austrian metal. Other than Abigor, Pungent Stench and Summoning, I remain quite ignorant.
