“Don’t You Remember” the fourth track on Adele’s 21, follows Adele through her admission of her own personal flaws as she finds herself begging her ex-lover to recall why he initially fell in love with her.
Adele became increasingly aware that her bitterness after the break-up negatively altered her perspective of the relationship and her ex-lover which fueled the creation of this song.
“You know when you forget why you loved someone? I was just thinking about how my entire body would just shiver if my ex touched me to say hello. It’s sad when you can’t remember why you loved someone.”
- Adele, The Sun.
