Nasty, atmospheric and dark. The lisbon girls were Catholic. 13, Cecile, 14, Lux, 15, Bonnie, 16, Mary, and 17, Therese. The song tells the post-script of the film. The Lisbon girls' suicides consume the attention of their community as they struggle to find an explanation for the deaths. It didn't matter in the end how old they had been, or that they were good Catholic girls. But only that we had loved them, and that we hadn't heard them call. Sound familiar?
