Yes! Along with Hannes Grossmann: Obscura, Necrophagist, Blotted Science and his solo album are all great.

Brilliant stuff, I'm going to miss what Muenzner and Grossmann contributed to Obscura, but if they're going to move on to make music like this I really can't be too upset.

As a Supergroup, I am going to be honest and say I prefer both Obscura and Aborted (who is one of my favorite death metal bands of all time). I also don't always listen to prog/tech. However, The Malkuth Grimoire is no less an amazing offering. Every song is memorable, and unique. There is no shortage of endless riffs, leads, melodies, and shred. The songs actually allow the drumming to really open up for creativity, rather than be pigeonholed into just blasting. The production is fantastic and really enhances the listening experience. Great tight sub-bass, not too mid-saturated, crisp highs, excellent stereo separation. In conclusion, these guys really deliver an amazing, unique, and artful, piece of progressive death metal that is an instant classic. My personal favorite tracks are Alter Magnitudes, From a Hadron Machinest, and Funeral For A Continent.
