I've always known that this band would be better with a female vocal, this cover is a proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmTBLIOfw5A

None of the above. Hard-edged King Crimson with a bit of a gothic feel to it + occasional post-rock/metal influences

Decent band, I just wish prog bands would stop to incorporate bad vocals, most don't need it, it just ruins it. Same here.

I agre with nicolas. The vocals aren't amazing but they fit well for this style of prog/psychedelic rock.

why did you feel the need to post a comment like this on the wall of a band about which you don't care

Alright, bro. I believe you. I never implied that you were nervous, but thank you for being reasonable.

The water drops upon the rock until the rock is gone. For every tick there is a tock, for every right a wrong.

Friend of mine recommended this band to me. I love the mellotrons and this goddamn heavy bass...something beautiful!

Hey fellow Anekdoten listeners, my instrumental progressive rock band [artist]Ysma[/artist] has just released their first album, [album artist=Ysma]Vagrant[/album]. It's fully streamable and two songs can be downloaded for free. Feel free to check it out and post what you think! :)

Think of factory made pop artists, which is 80% of all music, of how close they are to each other. Compared to that "verse-verse-chrous-verse-chorus-bpart/solo-chorus" music, Crimso and Anekdoten are miles apart

Even though I agree, they have a Crimson influence, these guys are really their own. Even if their crimsonesque "Nucleus" is still my favourite album, title track, harvest and this close to the sky are the 3 single best Anekdoten pieces ever, and (in spite of King Crimson being my 2nd most listened to artist in last.fm) better than any album Crimso ever did.

Nucleus is my first Anekdoten album and it soon becomes my favorite of all their releases until now. The second album I've gotten into was 'A Time of Day' gotta love that Camel tune from 'In For A Ride' track. Currently starting to get into From Within atm

Nucleus is still my favorite. Their heavier style seems more unique than newer albums.
