Anelis Assumpção is a brazilian singer, songwriter and percussionist. She is currently recording her first CD.
With the sagacity of those who sing in the fluency of the best bar conversations, the daughter of Itamar Assumpção find the right spot to soak in a mixture of uncompromising poetry (probable paternal inheritance) with a balance of samba, reggae, hip hop and the so-called avant-garde in São Paulo.
The major tone of voice and her almost theatrical interpretation, value the letters of her own songs.
Simple and comfortable, some of the verses sounds familiar, as fragments of a conversation or dialogue balloon in a HQ read in the newspaper that made you laugh at breakfast.
