"Shut Down" is the second single from BLACKPINK'S second studio album, "BORN PINK".
Paganini’s classical piece “La Campanella” is sampled through-out the song, which enhances the original song’s dark and mysterious vibe. In the songs lyrics, BLACKPINK sing about coming to “shut down” your area. The seamless blending of classical and trendy hip-hop sounds leaves a lasting impact, and “Shut Down’s” irresistible melody and clever lyrics combine to excite listeners like nothing else.
Additionally, in the music video, BLACKPINK is shown in rusty and cyber scenery where posters and signs around them have references to their previous releases.
