Not sure if they'll ever release another one like this masterpiece again, but at least Von's Dark Gods: Seven Billion Slaves filles the void in the meantime

I love the early Beherit stuff, but this might be even better, and would be on my short list for best Black Metal of 2000 and beyond. They've kept their penchant for creating cold, dark atmospheres but added a more complex, deeper style of composition, and it's truly something to behold. There isn't a wasted moment on this album, with several of the tracks here being textbook examples of how to do Black Metal that is both raw and melodic. Classic.

May not be the best album ever, but it really shows how a solid, modern black metal album should sound like. Excellent production. [3] Demon Advance, a mind-blowing track.

What a badass release. Engram really captures a hypnotic pagan/ritualistic atmosphere like no other release. In my opinion.

metalheads are dumb. stop comparing it to DDTM. they have other stuff to compare it to which is sometimes apt also such as TOoBB, which it sometimes sounds like. otherwise, just listen to it for what it is.
