Simple. Quattro/UK Discs won't give up the rights/masters. They want a steep buyout. And if Boris' falling out with Southern Lord (which I presume was over money) is any indication, they're not interested in being taken for a ride financially.

Curious, how do you know it was a fall out and not just them wanting to go to a different label? Sleep also left Southern Lord and went to ThirdMan also. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not.

But remember, Boris went to Sargent House first, a bigger and yet a somewhat subpar label compared to Southern Lord, at least in terms of quality of pressings, and then they proceeded elsewhere. I mean it seems they have mended ties, but this is what I heard.

As far as I'm concerned, '02 Heavy Rocks is the best metal album of all time.

My favourite album from these guys! Just great (stoner?) rock and nothing more. I absolutely love it!
