"everything I hate, wish I could escape" / "it's you I need to kick, you make me feel like shit" melodically samples Sum 41's Fat Lip pre chorus: "Attention that we crave, Don't tell us to behave" / "It's none of your concern, I guess I'll never learn". The rhyme scheme is also identical. And on top of that I like how "Die4u" has the same amount of characters as "Sum41", while the fourth character of each term is a 4.

I think they just get better and better at what they want to do music-wise. I enjoyed this.

Love the track. The band only started with Sempiternal in my eyes. Keep it up boys!

Better than what the snippets teased. Thought it was gonna sound like some awful modern MGK rip-off, but it still ends up sounding somewhat unique.

Very disappointed.... by the comments. People still seem to expect the same shit over and over by this band, while they've been switching it up 3 times every ALBUM lately. Yes, if you go in expecting metalcore, you're going to be disappointed half of the time. Just go in with an open mind and you'll realize this is actually a really well made song in the end.

eh i agree with your comment but as someone who started listening to bmth with phsh, i really do think this track could've been more than what it is. i don't mind them trying out different sounds, i do think they can do them better though. with that being said it's still an enjoyable song to me

as someone who enjoys everything from their first EP to PH:SH, i can easily say that i enjoy this track. to assume it was straight up made for tik tok is a stretch. i guess i could see where its coming from considering their newfound fame on there, but i would not go as far to say that this song is made just for that sole reason. BMTH have always been accused of all sorts of things every single time they put out something and for a band that's consistently changing their sound and bringing something fresh to the table every time is sadly something normal nowadays. im not gonna act like this is their best song, but the hate on it isnt necessary either. as always, the prodction is great despite sounding poppier, the song sounds and flows well, and it has a Welcome To The Black Parade-esque bridge as well. imo this is a really enjoyable track, and i wouldnt let varying opinions change my own views on it. im sure the EP will be really good, so yeah this is a good stepping stone for sure.

Fantastic, catchy, well-produced pop rock track. I was impressed with BMTH's rebirth on Survival Horror, and this feels like a natural continuation of that. There's plenty of other bands I can rely on for my metalcore fix. What BMTH is doing currently is up my alley, and they're making some of their finest music since Sempiternal.

'Made for Tik Tok' and its variants as a 'criticism' is pretty much on par with 'corny' and 'pretentious' at this point. Buzzwords for people who want to feel like they're saying something but don't really want to grab the brain cells to rub together to actually formulate a thought with substance. As for the actual track, it's fine. It is definitely single material, but I don't find anything particularly offensive about it. I'll probably feel it more in a full EP context with other songs. They do have a lot more material I'd rather listen to at the moment. There were a few tracks on Survival Horror I wasn't huge on, so hopefully, it's a bit like that.

The song was clearly made for tik tok, i don't think there's any doubt about it, there's no point calling corny or pretentious who just decide to point it out. by the way the song isn't actually that bad, but if i compare Die4u with Parasite Eve (the first single of PH1) i feel kinda dissapointed, Parasite Eve was way better and also had a strong chorus imo, the chorus in Die4u seems very underwealming and awkard to me, also repeating the chourus 4 times with any varation i think was very unneccesary.

No problem, frictions happen pretty often here, it's normal. By the way i hope the new EP explores more sounds and genres like PH1 and i hope this is the "weak" track of the EP and then the other tracks are more different from each other. (i had the same issue with Obey, i didn't really liked that song, actually Obey was the only track that i didn't like of PH1)

Eh I deleted that comment since I said something I don't really agree with and am honestly not sure why I said it (about artists only making music for money, I don't believe that and it's not true... maybe what I more accurately meant is that if bands are putting up with the 'Big Music Industry' as garbage as it usually is, they usually need to be at least making some money to compensate) but the rest of my points stand true. I actually pretty much agree with your core thoughts on the track, I'll keep my hopes up for the rest of the EP and maybe give this one a few more spins in the spirit of fairness.
