Love their early collaborations with J. Mascis, their later records in the '90s with a bigger commercial alternative sound, and their reunion records which offer the later sound with more maturity. Good band all around

Good stuff, a shame I haven't heard of them earlier. At first I was thinking that this is similar to [artist]Wilco[/artist] based on the new album but now I'm not sure. Either way, they deserve a lot more recognition then they've had!

Well, at least if some idiot ever reads Bill Janovitz's reviews he won't be able to use the dumb standby "OH YAH WELL LES SEE YOU DO BETAR" because he already has a band.

If you like Buffalo Tom be sure to check out a UK band called Peachfuzz (not to be confused with a US band of the same name). http://www.bombedout.com/bands/peachfuzz

Buffalo Tom have probably been my most consistently loved band over the last 20 years.
