“The Gate” is the first track on Caroline Polachek’s debut album "Pang".
Polachek said “I guess the gate is like a boundary… something that like separates you and the green grass in the other side, separates you and the utopia in the other side”.
She revealed the lyrics to the track on Instagram, several days before "Pang" released.
