“Femmebot” is the sixth track from British singer-songwriter Charli XCX’s second mixtape of 2017, "Pop 2". The song features singer Dorian Electra and rapper Mykki Blanco, with production from PC Music members EasyFun and A.G. Cook, as well as David Gamson.
The track was originally premiered in July 2016 at PC Music’s Pop City event, by A. G. Cook. The live version featured vocals from songwriter Fran Hall, and was thought to be produced by A.G. Cook and SOPHIE. The song was not played again, and was assumed to never see a release. When the track list for "Pop 2" was released, it sparked speculation that this “Femmebot” was the same as the one played almost a year and half before, and the release of the mixtape confirming this to be true.
Aside from the additional verse from Mykki Blanco and the short bridge from Dorian Electra, this track remains almost completely unchanged from the demo played over a year before.
The song is also the only song on "Pop 2" Charli does not receive a writing credit for.
