Chris Geith (pronounced "gite") has written and produced music heard on many TV shows in the USA including Behind The Music, Inside Fame (VH1); Hometime (PBS); Berman & Berman For Women Only (Discovery Health); Autoline Detroit, My Classic Car (Speed Channel); That's My Baby (Animal Planet); Famous Homes & Hideaways (Super Station) and many more.
Chris Geith is also the composer/arranger and mastermind behind "The Chris Geith Group". The band signed with "Jive Records" in Asia in 2001. The band has been no. 1 in the "Smooth Jazz", "Jazz Fusion", and "Contemporary Urban/ R&B" charts on MP3.com (at the time when the site was independent). Their "Prime Time" album was selected "Top Net CD" with over 1,400,000 downloads. Chris was awarded the "20th Anniversary Keyboard Competition" prize, in 1995 by Keyboard magazine for his composition "Sunrise Hunter".
Chris Geith has played keyboards for super star Julie Andrews, and has opened up for pop stars like Paul Anka. He has also performed at international Jazz festivals like "Veneto Jazz", and "Euromeet" in Europe. Chris also speaks three languages including Italian, German and English.
With the new project "Timeless World", scheduled to be released in September 07, Chris has created a contemporary instrumental / jazz album in every sense of the term, varied in its smooth melodies, sophisticated chord progressions and elaborate arrangements. The project has been in the works for over two years due to an extensive and complex production. 14 new tracks will be included - everything from tight driving grooves to dreamy soundtrack oriented textures. Numerous radio stations worldwide have already requested copies, and an extensive promotion campaign will follow later this summer. The album will be released on the Nuance Music Group label.
