The 3rd track from Aguilera’s sophomore album, "Stripped". Aguilera shows that she’s not going to be just another wannabe pop star by opening the album with the powerful and sly anti-gossip, anti-slut-shaming, stand-your-ground feminist anthem “Can’t Hold Us Down”. However, instead of moving immediately towards danceable grooves, she instead surprises the listener with “Walk Away”, a pained and emotional ballad about being stuck in an unhealthy relationship, unable to escape. The song then segues directly into the powerful rock-tinged anthem “Fighter”, which acts almost as a ‘Part II’ to “Walk Away”.
