"Feels So Good" debuted the week of October 29, 1977. It was Mangione's 9th chart album since his debut in 1971, and his very first album to crack the Top 40. It was the sleeper album of 1978 taking 34 weeks to finally crawl to the #2 position June 17th and stayed there for 2 weeks. The first single release "Feels So Good" made the Top 5 on the Billboard Chart, peaking in June of 1978. The album was kept out of the top by the "Saturday Night Fever" Soundtrack. All totalled, it spent 11 weeks in the Top Ten, 28 weeks in the Top 40 and 88 Weeks! on the Billboard Top 200. With the commercial success of this album, Mangione placed 2 more albums on the Top 200 in September of 1978, giving him 3 albums on the chart at the same time. A "Best Of" Collection reached #105. and "Children Of Sanchez" went to #14.
