French pop sensation Claudio Capéo (real name Claudio Rucoulele) first came to the international public's attention in 2016 as a contestant on Season 5 of the French iteration of the popular reality series/singing competition The Voice. Born in Cernay in 1985 and a gifted vocalist and accordion player who has also dabbled in heavy metal and Afro-jazz, the multi-faceted artist began a solo career as a pop singer in 2008. After his debut performance on The Voice, he was chosen to join the team hosted by Florent Pagny, who had led season one winner Stephan Rizon to victory in 2012.
