If you are a big Colour Revolt fan and have any rare or unreleased material of theirs, hit me up. I am putting together a big collection and have a lot of their rare stuff already. DM me and we can share.

I'm not a huge Indie fan but Plunder, Beg and Curse is one of the most underrated albums of the last decade,

I was at that show @heyyjosh! I met Jesse that night and actually ran into him at a Neutral Milk Hotel show last year and he remembered me!

I was thinking about Colour Revolt the other day, kinda bummed that they haven't received much attention, etc... Then I thought, maybe the whole reason they've been neglected is that they are the closest thing I can find to a gimmick-free band. And they don't venture into "catchy" pop-punk territory like a lot of their peers (e.g. early Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, all the other bands on Favorite Gentlemen that sound a lot like Manchester Orchestra). They make some pretty pure rock music, and I love every bit of it, but they're just not an easy band to hype or bring up in conversation.

Every time I listen to "See It", I want to curl into a ball and cry. Such beautiful and eloquent music. Fuck.

Their latest Daytrotter session is pretty excellent... Got a membership just to download it, because their first one was amazing - I listen to it as often as any of their albums... Worth it. Cool tweaks on some songs - 8 Years is slowed down and changed up a lot.

Just saw them live again. Got all 3 vinyls signed (and El Obo by Jesse signed) and got to meet them all. My friend went up to Jesse while he was out back smoking and asked him "so is this band Colour Revolt supposed to be good?" and Jesse said "Yeh, they're alright, you have about a 50/50 shot". LOL

These guys were awesome in Toronto last week. Lots of EP songs, which was the ultimate. Begged for Circus for the encore but they played a My Bloody Valentine cover instead. Guess I can't complain!

Love the fact that they toured with TBS and people prefered CR. CR needs to headline!

Daisy leaked and that wasn't scrapped. Sorry dude. Brand New ripped that style of playing off so hard. I mean even fashion sense. Lacey's guitar got slung a lot lower and he ditched the blazer for a flannel.

Can't wait to see them tomorrow. Saw them in '08, last year, and now tomorrow. Sucks they're opening though, they should definitely be headlining! Seeing them live is truly an experience.

@Gripton I wouldn't really blame you for only liking the EP, but I'd recommend listening to everything else once in a while in case it clicks some day. Plunder, Beg, and Curse is really bad-ass, but in a different way than the EP. Not as raw, but the way the guitars work together is really impressive. The Cradle still hasn't blown me away, but I like some of the songs a lot. The EP is still one of the best things I've ever heard, though.

Actually I found it odd that Brand New toured with Colour Revolt, scrapped Fight Off Your Demons, wrote Devil and God, and Jesse ditched the clean cut look. Oh, and got a third guitarist. Just sayin'. Devil and God does have Colour Revolt influences.
