This is as much Dance-Gaze or Shoe-House as opposed to Shoegaze-rap... If you were alive in the 90's you'd remember a lot of bands did the genre shuffle... It's how new sounds are "invented"... Get over it and listen to Toni and her hotness...

May I ask for what Genre of music ANYBODY asked for ? People don't ask for genres , They happen , Like it or not ! There is no picking and choosing in the creativity ( Meaning No artist suddenly said I'll invent Grunge ! or I'll invent Blues ! All because an audience ASKED them too ! That is absurd. I applaud Curve to take an outside the box approach to both genres .And making rap a little more appealing to me ( At least ) . Of course I didn't grow up with Rap music as my second language dropping F - bombs every other word . Something I literally HATE about rap is all the profanity .And Shoegaze was still in its junior years when this song was recorded , was it not ? Meaning Shoegaze was Nearing its peak of bands and being a viable genre on the radio . I know of no other band that tried to do this ... I guess the rest of them were still thinking inside the Shoegaze box . Curve where a very innovative band . And if you don't believe me, go listen to some Garbage or (Curve light)

Most songs that feature the lyric "That's a fact Jack" I'd bury under a thicket of crude oil. Testament to the 80% of this track that is still great - and forwardthinking - 20 years on I haven't done that...

Damn, I like rap music, but this is just shite, it almost derails an otherwise typically great Curve tune. Shoegaze-rap... urgh, there's a genre that nobody ever asked for.

Agreed about the Radio Sessions version, way better when Toni does all the vocals.

It *is* a drum machine, isn't it? And the Radio Sessions version is better because she raps on it instead.

What an amazing sound Curve had! I loved this and Coast is Clear, great to hear them again after all these years. They were ahead of their time, Garbage came along a few years later and stole their crown. Inphanta is right about the dodgy, token rap, but it didn't sound as bad at the time, although the same can be said of any early 90's tracks with a rap on. I mean I love the KLF but a lot of the chatting is hard to listen to now. Anyway, Toni and Dean - Fab stuff!
