What an extraordinary live album! Probably the best band that Bowie ever toured with. Reminds me a lot of Bob Dylan's "At Budokan" album in that it features rearranged versions of many of the artists' well-known songs, dramatically rearranged in some cases. Love how Bowie was never afraid to push the envelope with his music. He had the foresight to see that if he stayed true to himself as an artist, the critics and the fans may be slow to catch on, but in time, they would, and his musical legacy has benefited greatly from that approach and has influenced countless artists to follow.

Yeah, I can't think of many off the top of my head that I enjoy more. Maybe Priest's "Unleashed in the East", BOC's "On Your Feet or On Your Knees" and Grateful Dead's "Dead Set". Those come to mind right away. Oh yeah, and Hawkwind's "Space Ritual:. Yeah, how about that for a top 5, haha!

so true, he has this film or veil over his voice this whole record, it's the strangest (saddest?) thing. a lot of it is still so brilliant though, idk how he did it
